AW COLLECTION 2024_25
“IL BELLO CHE BALLA - THE DANCING BEAUTY”
Fashion as an antidote, to lighten and beautify every day, even the toughest ones, a home we want to live in, rooms to enjoy and exploit, which reflect our being, just like an accessory. Cool accessories that are never ordinary, but also wearable on every occasion and long- lasting: there is no need for us to waste but, rather, to surround ourselves with unique items that convey beauty in everyday life. The super ‘never-ending best seller’ such as ‘Roccia’ renewed with new model styles, including the new boot featuring a maxi turn-up with flare lines, also presented in eco-leather for those who choose to be ‘animal free’ and the iconic combat boots made in plush denim, with teddy or tartan fabric lining. The 'Made 2 Move', a Vic Matiē version of the running shoe, with a 'sawtooth' sole, also became a carryover model. In the new FW 2024/25 it is clad in the new Treck model in technical mesh and suede crust, in neutral tones with touches of vitamin colours such as green and orange. The ‘Streepy’ combat boots with a flared heel and voluminous toe, already included in the previous releases, has been joined by a new ‘penny loafer’ with a customised coin and the new biker boot with a zip and metal buckle. The ‘Streepy’ family, which owes its name to the unmistakable streaks on the sole, has been enriched with a new streepy wedge variant crafted in superlight rubber featuring a large volume, and models with a military look in total black leather or with a warmer, more enveloping impact, such as the ankle boot in nubuck and stretch neoprene with contrasting stitching. There is also room for absolute new entries such as ‘Fray’, a brand-new gaucho boot with a squared toe and super flexible rubber sole, presented in tube models with a strap and buckles or with a very minimal and clean look. ‘Creepy’, flatforms with soft lines and a crêpe texture, featuring models with a warm touch thanks to the natural tones of caramel and cream and the soft touch of suede and wool. Lastly, 'Mano', with its ultra tech sole made of bi-component material reveals the design of a hand hugging the sole, enhanced by contrast by very clean-cut models in neoprene with a ton sur ton logo zip or in vegan stretch leather. A call to Japanese style with the ‘Mini Yoko’ flatform featuring flared lines clad in leather matching the upper, on which sit moccasins in black, burgundy, and green brushed leather, boots in stretch leather and ‘Mary Jane’ with a shiny finish, including a houndstooth effect. Strong geometries and cuts, instead, for the ‘Ming’ models, ankle boots and shoes with clean, severe lines and a square toe with asymmetrical lines and a flare heel. Enveloping is the perfect adjective to identify ‘Cocoon’, a wedge completely encased in uppers made of soft nappa leather or suede with folds that fall on the instep and add soft volume to the contour, contrasting with the pointed and ultra-feminine shape design. ‘D’, by contrast, is the model designed to celebrate all women (D for ‘Donna’ - Woman, that is), who have always been at the heart of the brand's philosophy. The new heel with its refined design and sinuous lines creates an interplay of solids and voids to form the letter. The Vic Matiē man contains items with carryover features, models that express the brand's history and DNA such as ankle boots, ankle boots, loafers, and lace-ups. What makes the difference are the materials and creative flicks: from the zippers placed on the sides or front, to the contrasting yellow elastics of the ankle boots, to the nubuck of the moccasins, to the "ruched" effect leathers of the amphibians. The bag collection plays on the contrast between its minimalist geometry and more fluid lines. Evocations reflected in the cuts, contrasting colour blocks and lines with a 3D effect on the one hand and lines with soft, rounded volumes on the other. As for the nuances, natural shades dominate, tones like dark grey contrast with more intense colours like green, cobalt blue, spicy yellow alternating with purple and ruby. The materials used vary from smooth leathers or those with aged effects to technical fabrics. The ways to wear Vic Matiē bags are many; in particular, one model, apparently a plain shopper, can also be worn as a waistcoat. The watchword: multifunctionality.
